What is Your Reason for Doing It?

What is Your Reason for Doing It?'Why is something the way it is?' This is a great question to ask yourself and then to answer. The answer is that you don't really know, or at least not in enough detail to formulate an answer. That is because each of us has a reason for doing what we do. We choose to do things and live our lives in ways that we find rewarding. For most of us, it is what we have been taught and it may be what we are predisposed to. But there is always a reason for our actions.Fact and fiction can be equally true. A myth of the world we live in may be false, but it isn't necessarily untrue. It could be a fact. In the same way, something may be factually true, but it may not be for all people.Sometimes, what appears to be a fact is not. Often, a statement that may appear to be true may not be. The same thing is true for events that have occurred and are being remembered.Events have happened over time and they will happen again. As it turns out, some events are more likel y to occur than others. Because of this, one cannot predict the future with certainty.Another good example is an old police trial where a suspect claimed that he did not do the crime. There was no physical evidence to prove his innocence, and the case was eventually dismissed. It took several years for the courts to finally decide that this was indeed the case and he was guilty. No matter how you write it, an essay that includes the above will be very interesting to any mystery writer. Although mystery writers tend to focus on the events, in fact it is the 'how' of events that need to be explored. The 'why' is an important part of the story, but the first step is understanding the 'what.'
